Craig Cary is believed to be the one of the founding fathers of the first hydro-thermal vent system with his fellow marine biologist in 1997 nearly 21 years ago after the first discovery of this hydro-thermal system by the French researcher's in the early 1980 's and they referred to them as a deep-sea ploychaetes that live in a tube near the hydro-thermal vent.
One of the common organism that lives in this system is called pompeii worm. These pompeii worm are referred to as the most heat tolerant animal on earth also known as Alvinella pompejana.
